Eric Brown, eBoot Camp Presenter and Strategist
Brown's background is rooted in the rental and real estate industries.
He founded metro Detroit's Urbane Apartments seven years ago, after serving
as senior vice president at Village Green Companies, a major Midwest apartment
developer. He established a proven track record of effectively repositioning
existing rental properties in a way that added value for investors while enhancing
the resident experience.
With his apartment company, he dared to abandon traditional marketing efforts and
instead established a strong online presence. He created sites for Urbane Apartments on
Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr. Brown established the
Urbane Lobby, a social
network where residents could share photographs and videos and socialize.
UrbaneLife online
magazine took that idea one step further, targeting a specific demographic by providing fresh
online content daily.
Brown's social media marketing strategy and fearless approach to business has garnered
national media attention and feature stories in
Entrepreneur,
Business Week,
Builder,
BizNet
and Multifamily Executive.
He was named as a Voice of Innovation in Social Media last year,
has been profiled locally, and travels across the U.S. to share his story. Brown's efforts have
formed the basis of his next business venture, The Urbane Way.

Stephanie Angelyn Casola, Director of Public Relations and Marketing
Stephanie Angelyn Casola joined eBoot Camp in May 2010 as director of public relations
and marketing. She's a Michigan State graduate who majored in Journalism and worked as a reporter
for 11 years before making the switch into the world of PR and social media marketing.
Casola has spent more than a decade traipsing around metro Detroit covering everything from
education to arts and entertainment. From her old stomping grounds at the Observer & Eccentric
newspapers to freelance work for Metromix, Northwest Airlines WorldTraveler and Ambassador
magazines and blogs like the late, great Detourmag.com,
she uncovered the quirky and wonderful things always bubbling just under the surface around metro Detroit.
When the newspaper business began to shrink, she made the move to public relations.
Casola served as an account executive and content manager at a boutique firm in Royal Oak,
representing fashion, restaurant and film industry clientele.
She blends that varied background in her work with The Urbane Way. Casola crafts original content
for client blogs, manages social media, incorporates traditional public relations efforts with cutting
edge strategies to serve a varied array of clients.
When she's not promoting the best Detroit has to offer, writing, tweeting or updating her Facebook status,
she loves classic black & white movies, too much music to name, spending Saturdays at Eastern Market and
traveling whenever possible.
